Introduction to Magnetic Drilling Machines

Nov 15, 2022

Magnetic drilling machine is also called portable magnetic drill, magnetic drill press, magnetic core-drilling machine, mag base drill or mag drill.

The magnetic drill machine is powered by the electromagnet of the magnetic drill base to generate a magnetic field, which is adsorbed on the steel parts, and then the magnetic drill motor runs at a high speed to drive the drill bit to realize drilling.

Definition

The magnetic drill machine is mainly divided into two parts. The first part is the drilling part, which mainly drills, taps or reams the steel structure through a high-speed drill bit.

The second part is the adsorption steel structure part. After the magnetic drill base part is energized, a magnetic field is generated by the changing current, which is firmly adsorbed on the steel structure to ensure that the magnetic drill does not move.

When with suitable cutting tools, such as annular cutters, core drills, twist drills, countersinks and other rotary cutters, a magnetic drilling machine can drill, tap threads, countersink and ream.

Our magnetic drilling machine is equipped with 110V or 220V AC motor. The motor power ranges from 1050 watts to 1600 watts. The larger the diameter hole is, the more powerful motor will be needed.

It is suitable for steel structure, shipbuilding, equipment manufacturing, equipment installation, bridge engineering, wind power generation, oil rig, power construction, railway manufacturing and other fields.
